I hear a lot of people complain that their click thru rate (CTR) on their articles at Ezine or other article directories, isn’t very good and wanting to know why?

First lets establish a benchmark. You should always shoot for a 20% CTR, you may not always get it but if you follow this little trick it will certainly help.

Ok, so why are people reading your article? Because they need to know something that they don’t already know. So reason tells us that if you write a good article with plenty of info then you’re giving them what they need.

But that is not what we, as article marketers, need, is it? What we need or want at least, is for our readingto click that link in the resource box and go to our offer/site. So to kind of “force” our reader to click that link you CAN’T give them all of what they’re looking for in the article, if you do, they have no reason to click the link.

Instead give them a lot but not all of it, leave the final answer to their question out of the article. Point them to the answer in you resource box. So if the article is about how to make money online, for example, end the article with a question, like,”…..is it really possible to make money online?”….

Then the first line of you resource box should read something like, “…..You may find the right answer to you online earning question here.….”

Then just hyperlink the words “online earning question here” to your offer/site.

Test it out,

I came up with, what I think is a good way to utilize all those PLR articles everyone has on their hard drives. Actually, I’m sure someone else came up with this first, I just haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere.

Ok, so you have a couple hundred megs of PLR articles sitting on your computer just taking up space. You’d love to use them but you don’t want to re-write a 500-600 word article because maybe you’re lazy today, no biggie, thats cool.

Now for the purposes of this example I’m going to use that funny latin script WordPress uses sometime as filler on a new blog, you know what I mean

………that stuff, you’ve seen it before.

So from now on, when you see that in this post it represents an “untouched, un-re-wrtten” piece of PLR, just like what you have on you HD.

Ok this is how it works.

Lets say the article is about the proper care of pet Iguanas. This is how I would use the PLR article without touching it.

Post Title:

The Proper Care for Pet Iguanas

Caring for a pet Iguana can be a difficult task at times. While we all love our scaly little reptiles, making sure they get the proper diet can take some time to learn and money to spend.

But there are solutions. Check out this article I read about pet Iguana diets:

While I don’t agree with the author that we should feed our Iguana live baby bunnies, I do understand the importance of adding natural food to our Iguanas commercially produced food. Anything natural can only be beneficial for the slimy little suckers.

Check out this great Iguana Diet Book I found.

So what exactly do you have above?

You have an original and unique article, that quotes, in full or in part, a PLR article you have lying around.

Google can see that you’re using the <blockquote> HTML code so it knows you’re not trying to pawn it off as your content, thereby risking getting buried in the “duplicate entry hell” at the end of Google’s search results last page.

Now this probably will not get approved by the EZA editors unless you use snippets of the article, but it may get approved by some other article directories.

Where it really comes in handy though is for web content, blog posts, and auto responder series or messages.

Try it out, experiment with it, it could be a major time saver when you just don’t feel like writing some original stuff.

There is lot of PLR articles, ebooks, short reports, templates, even complete products, out there today. But simply buying PLR and not re-purposing it or “using” it, the right way will get you no where.

Lets say you downloaded my 34K PLR Article Pack for example, and lets say you’re in the “credit repair niche”. The first thing I would do is search the article pack for the words “credit repair” but only in the titles of the articles. Now pick 10 articles on credit repair that you like. Re-write them in your “style”.

Nothing big, just a little here and there, we’re not going to use this for article marketing, so don’t worry.

Now take your 10 articles and turn them into a free report or ebook on credit repair. There are plenty of free PDF creators out there or you could just leave it as a Word document. Make sure to use a larger font, it’ll make your report seem longer because now there’ll need to be more pages to support the larger font. Now fill it with your CPA affliate links to the offer or offers your are promoting. No banners!, maybe 2 the most if any, just hyperlink your action keywords to your affiliate links.

Ok so now you have produced your free report, what will it do for you?

Well, first you don’t have to worry about the duplicate content myth, because this report is not going online, its being downloaded, you could put a download link on your blog or even your landing pages. Second, by giving away the report for free, don’t even ask for an optin, (this also depends on the niche) just let your visitors download it for free, no email address, nothing, you’re gaining the psychological momentum.

But how?, you say.

Well lets say Mr Joe Blow, internet surfer with crappy credit, finds his way to your site or landing page. He’s got a chip on his shoulder right off the bat because A) he doesn’t believe anything he reads online and B) oh by the way, its not his fault he has bad credit, the mean world scammed him.

But wait, he sees something that is completely FREE, he doesn’t even have to give you his email address. Well, he sure feels like he got over now doesn’t he. He got something for nothing and he likes it, thats probably why he has bad credit also.

What does this accomplish for you? Your visitor, who really does NEED to fix his credit, but doesn’t trust anyone, just let his guard down. Remember he looks at it as though he beat you, he took something of yours and gave nothing back in return, not even contact info. He has now put his mental pit bull on a leash and your report is not only what did it, but also what’s going to get HIM to make YOU money, without him even knowing it. He’ll read through the report and maybe (yes maybe, there are no guarantees here) he’ll click on a link and fill out the lead info, because he feels safe now, and you’ll get paid………the psychology of making bank!!

If you haven’t downloaded my 34k PLR FREE Article Pack, do so and you can start using this method in any niche you might happen to be in, with 34,000 articles, you’ll find something that suits your needs.

Next we’ll see how else you can use your free report to make you money.
